I watched as the girls left with their dates, and Aries was having a damn fit. He talked all that shit, but he couldn’t deny how cute Anni and Ahsad were. I invited the other parents back inside so that we could all talk while we waited on the kids to get back.

“So, it’s crazy that our kids ended up dating, huh?” Brad started the conversation.

“They’re not dating. You better be glad that I like you a lil’ bit or I would’ve let ya son know that I have plenty guns, and I’m definitely not scared to use them,” Aries’ ignorant ass said.

“Would you shut up? I apologize for his ignorant behavior.” I apologized to Brad and his wife Tiana.

“No need to apologize. We have an older daughter, and I acted the same way. A father never wants his baby girl to grow up,” Brad emphasized.

“You two raised a beautiful and smart young lady. My son did good.” Jackie spoke to Onyx and Laila in regards to Laila.

“Thank you. We try our best, and you’ve done well with Kente. He’s a very well-mannered young man,” Laila countered.

“You two don’t have kids?” Tiana asked Sapphire.

“Man, they have a whole daycare at their house. They’re just not old enough to do anything,” Aries disclosed.

“Don’t worry about my kids. And to answer your question, yes, we have three girls, but they’re still young. Our oldest is only six, so we have a long time to prepare for dates, but I’m ready.” Sapphire beamed.

“I don’t know why. Let them stay babies as long as they can. I see how these niggas sweatin’ and shit, and I’m not ready for that yet. I’ll gladly change diapers as long as I don’t have to worry about some lil’ nigga sniffin’ behind them,” Ace confessed.

“I agree. Enjoy them while they’re babies because they grow up so fast. Y’all plan on having anymore?” Tiana asked, and I couldn’t help the feeling that all eyes were on me like I was being interrogated.

“Yeah, whenever my wife is ready. She’s too busy turning Anni into her mini me that she ain’t thinkin’ about giving me a son. She just gonna wake up pregnant one day, and I’ma act like I don’t know how it happened,” Aries responded and actually thought he made some damn sense.

“Why do I let you talk? Could y’all not pay him no mind because I swear I need to have a serious talk with my mother-in-law to find out what the hell his problem is,” I said, trying to ignore the look my sister was giving me. Her ass didn’t miss shit.

“It’s okay. We’ve heard enough stories about him to understand. But I can say that I haven’t heard much since the two of you got together,” Brad stated.

“That’s because he knows I’ll kill his ass,” I corrected.

“Stop flexin’. You know this dick had you gone from the rip. Stop playin’ wit’ me,” Aries burst out.

“Oh my God, can you not say what you think for once?” Jade asked.
